The Minister of Tourism, Sandra Naranjo, along with Tame’s General Manager, Raul Fierro, and the Executive Director of ATTA (Adventure Travel Trade Association) for Latin America, Antonio del Rosal, offered last June 23 a press conference about the potential of adventure tourism in Ecuador. 


The Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the Production, Employment and Competitiveness Coordinating Ministry held a workshop where investors and entrepreneurs in the tourism and production sectors learned about the tools available in national and international banks to which they can access to obtain financing.


Ecuador participated in London with a stand at the Experience Latin America (ELA) B2B Fair, where the Minister of Tourism of Ecuador, Sandra Naranjo Bautista, held working meetings with major media as the Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, EFE, The Telegraph, Travel Trade Gazette, Travel Weekly, Mocloe Radio, SkyNews, among others.


The Ministry of Tourism – MINTUR - has developed a new initiative that intends to promote religious tourism through a Course on Religious Heritage Management and Tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean through the fusion of faith tourism and cultural tourism, focusing mainly in the architectural and cultural wealth that Ecuador possesses.



The tourism operations in the Cotopaxi National Park are being developed normally because there is no official provision to suspend them. The Cotopaxi Volcano, located in the center of the country is monitored on an ongoing basis since 1986.
