Aiming at positioning Ecuador as a world-class destination and forge new business relationships, the Minister of Tourism of Ecuador, Sandra Naranjo, travelled to Toronto to meet tourism wholesalers and major international media, as part of a trade mission.

On Tuesday, November 18, the Ministry of Tourism invited eight tour operators and leading Canadian media to lunch with Minister Naranjo. Twenty representatives of important media, like Huffington Post, Sun Media, The Globe and Elle Canada, among others, were invited to this event to talk about the qualities that make Ecuador a leading destination. Minister Naranjo also presented the country's progress in the field of tourism.

All attendees received the All You Need Is Ecuador magazine, an important tool for the sale of Ecuador as a travel destination by tourism wholesalers, as well as toquilla straw hats, Ecuador's iconic product worldwide. In the afternoon, the Minister traveled to Montreal to meet with personnel from Air Canada to strengthen business ties and expand air connectivity, one of the five work pillars of the Ministry of Tourism.
